What you need
- EvoForge for every driver: it is free, and an EvoForge account is all they need to join the club, register and race.
- One organiser with the membership to host the event server from their PC (from €5 a month on Patreon). Everything else in this guide is free.
- The official dedicated server tool on the host’s PC (Steam › Library › Tools). See how to host an Assetto Corsa EVO server.
1. Create your club
In the Paddock, open Clubs, then Create a club: a name, a tag of 2 to 5 characters, a crest built from your own images and a banner. Write your rules, choose how drivers join (Open, On request or Invitation only) and share the club link.
| Role | What it allows |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything, including handing over or deleting the club |
| Admin | Identity, rules, members and roles, events, results |
| Editor | Creates events and championships, posts announcements, hosts the club servers |
| Steward | Validates results: links rows to drivers, penalties, protests |
| Member | Registers for the club’s events, members-only ones included |
Anyone can also Follow the club to see its public events without joining. Clubs appear in the directory from five members; a club can earn the Verified club badge. Connect your Discord and announcements, events and results are posted there for you, and a calendar link puts the club’s events in your drivers’ calendar apps.
2. Set up a championship
A championship groups your rounds: its name, season and number of rounds, your points table, bonuses for pole position and fastest lap, and team scoring based on the best drivers of each team at every round. Standings for drivers and teams update by themselves after each validated round.
3. Publish an event
- Create a New event: title, date and time, track and layout, the cars allowed, and the championship round it counts for.
- Set the schedule: practice, qualifying and the race, timed in minutes or run over a number of laps.
- Set the race rules: assists, damage, weather, tyre wear, fuel, grid size, and solo or team entries with a number of seats per team.
- Choose who can register: anyone, members only, or by invitation.
- Share one link. It opens the event in EvoForge; a driver without EvoForge is offered to install it, then to register.
4. Race day
Drivers Register in one click (car, team and helmet number). They are notified when the grid opens. 30 minutes before the start, Register becomes Join the grid: one click starts the game on the event server, and the content and password arrive on their own, for registered drivers only.
The event server starts by itself at the scheduled time on the organiser’s PC (or earlier, by hand), and shuts down once the event is over. Event servers are hosted as Ranked: those sessions count toward each driver’s Kunos rating.
5. Official results and stewards
When the race ends, the official classification lands on the event page by itself: positions, laps, best lap, total time and penalties. The results are provisional until your stewards have reviewed them: they link rows to drivers, apply time or place penalties, disqualify, and decide protests, which stay open for 24 hours. Once validated, points and standings follow, and the results are announced.
If a server sent nothing, the event shows Finished · results pending and organisers or stewards can enter the classification by hand.
6. After the race
Every driver gets a recap: the podium in helmets, their finish, best lap, incidents, points and their move in the championship. They can thank the drivers who raced them clean: thanks only, never a negative rating, and ten thanks earn the Fair-play badge.
FAQ
Is running a league with EvoForge free?
Yes: clubs, events, sign-ups, results, stewards and championships are free for everyone. Only hosting the event server requires the membership, for one organiser.
Do drivers need EvoForge to race in my league?
Yes, to register and join the grid: the server password is handed through EvoForge. EvoForge is a free download, and the event link offers to install it.
Do league races count for the Kunos driver rating?
Event servers are hosted as Ranked, the mode in which the server reports its classification. Ranked sessions count toward each driver’s Kunos rating.
Can teams race in a championship?
Yes. Events can take solo or team entries with a number of seats per team, and championships keep team standings from the best drivers of each team at every round.
EvoForge is a free download for Windows 10 / 11 and Linux. Assetto Corsa EVO required.
